Agneta and Bengt Rådman run the company Winter Life AB – based in Jämtland, Sweden – which makes its own brand of shoes: Luddan.
is an extremely warm and light shoe made of wool felt with leather details and a cellular rubber sole. Available in sizes 22–50, the shoes are finely crafted in accordance with old shoemaking traditions. Agneta’s father – Jonas Lundhag – who founded Lundhags Skomakarna AB in Järpen, taught her how to make Luddan shoes in 1994. Today, the manufacture of Luddan shoes is based in the small village Kallsta, 35 km north of Östersund in Jämtland.
Quality and proximity – We are only a phone call away
As we manufacture all parts of our shoes ourselves, we can reorganise production to accommodate different requirements at very short notice. We make Luddan products in sizes up to 55, and can take into account special requirements including longer openings, Velcro® fastenings and slide buckles. We also repair shoes and can, for example, replace soles subjected to harder wear than the shoes themselves – which last for years and years.
Wool and leather
While the wool felt is grey or black, the leather details are supplied in multiple colour combinations to suit customer wishes and requirements. Luddan shoes are available fully clad in elk skin or cow hide, or covered in patterned woollen fabric.
We make our own leather goods in elk skin and wool pile. Mittens and slippers for children and adults. Riding and driving gloves, large and small pouch bags, hats, fishing vests and leather aprons.
